A sales department director of the hotels in Sanya Haitang Bay said that an urgent problem to be solved in Hannan is to develop more airlines. According to “The research report of Hainan five-star hotel development” announced by Hainan CPPCC, Hainan will reach 76.8 million domestic and foreign tourists in 2020. Calculating in accordance with 10% ratio, the annual demand for five-star hotels are not more than 8 million passengers, but the five-star hotels in Hainan province developed in advance, so the region's annual capacity for accommodating tourists has greatly expanded into 28 million. The number of five-star hotel in Hainan is still rapidly growing but the occupancy rate is lower than before during the past two years. It forecasts that the average occupancy rate in Haikou and Sanya will be reduced to about 30%.
