Recently, Hyatt has unveiled Hyatt Centric, a new lifestyle brand for leisure and business travelers.
Hyatt on Monday unveiled Hyatt Centric, a new lifestyle brand for leisure and business travelers. The first property is slated to open this summer. Hotels primarily will be located in cities and have a "truly cosmopolitan vibe, infused with local charm, wit and simple touches of luxe," Hyatt said. Every hotel will be unique, with designs that "focus on what makes sense locally." Hyatt said that owners will have the opportunity to collaborate with local vendors on products such as bathroom amenities, coffee and beer. Restaurants will be for the "casual foodie," serving small bites and "locally inspired breakfasts," Hyatt said. Bars will serve artisanal cocktails and occasionally feature live, acoustic music. Also, guests will have the opportunity to have food and cocktail "kits" delivered to their room. Hyatt Centric hotels will feature a public space called "The Corner," where guests can read books and magazines supplied by the hotel, order lunch, chat with friends or work. Guests receive free access to computers and printers. Hotels will offer free WiFi. Guests who like to travel with their pets are "encouraged to bring their four-legged companions." While the Hyatt Centric website didn't specify where the first hotel would open, it listed a dozen locations: San Francisco, Long Beach and Santa Barbara, Calif.; Miami and Key West, Fla.; New York; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta; Houston; Park City, Utah; and Paris. |
