Meituan-Dianping announced on May 23 that it had fully acquired BeyondHost, a Shanghai-based hotel property management system (PMS) service provider. After the acquisition, BeyondHost will continue to maintain independent operation while working with Meituan-Dianping to build an open platform for hotels. BeyondHost was founded in May 2013 and had received strategic investment from Meituan-Dianping in 2016. The management team of BeyondHost will remain unchanged, and Mr. Xiaoling Huang will continue to serve as CEO. By the end of 2017, BeyondHost had signed with more than 14,000 hotels, including Super 8 by Wyndham, City Home Hotel and Junlai Hotel of Gujing Group, as well as other hotel brands. By leveraging its integration with Meituan-Dianping, BeyondHost plans to serve over 25,000 hotels in 2018. |
