British Airways announced that it will suspend flights between London Heathrow and Chengdu.
 
The service currently operates three times a week, alongside the airline's more regular flights to Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
 
The carrier said that having operated the route for three years, they'd concluded that it isn't 'commercially viable.' The last flight will operate in mid-January.
 
The announcement comes just days after UK and China reached an aviation agreement that will double number of flights between the two countries.
